I always love being back at Unity Village, in Kansas City. Few places ever feel like home to me like my own home, but there is something about the peace and love of this magical place that always makes me feel so alive while here.
On this trip I was in store for many tornados and hail storms like I have never experienced. Was I scared? Well yeaahhhhhh! Hail the size of softballs busted out car windows, damaged homes, and made my rent-a-car look like someone had poked it many times over with a broom handle or something. When the second round of hail storms hit, people began running for cover in the Bob Evans restaurant thinking the windows might just blow out. Little later, I'm out in the storm taking pictures of the lightning that was lighting up the night sky. (dumb, I know!)
Next morning I took a picture of the famed Unity Tower and while taking it, I was so focused on the tower itself, I never even noticed the clouds behind it. What an amazing picture. The power of nature is an awesome thing to behold! The power and wonder of God is ever present even in the winds of a raging storm.
